Etude House December Pink Box

Etude House's December Pink Box is a collaboration with Korean makeup artist PONY and features their Play 101 sticks! These makeup sticks are multi-functional and are available in an array of colors. Let's take a look!

I was sent four Play 101 Sticks:

  • #4: This is a cream foundation stick that was slightly too light for my skin color. The coverage is definitely on the light side with build-able coverage. It manages to cover the redness on my skin but doesn't do much for my scars. This foundation will probably work better for those that already have fairly good skin and is just looking for something to even out their skin tone. I found the foundation hard to blend with my usually soft bristle brush (it's pretty thick) and opt for the stiffer brush that was included in the box and that worked much better! Although I'm not quite sold on this as a foundation, I find it works great as an undereye concealer (I mix it with another concealer I have that is a tad too dark).
  • #11: This is a cream bronzer that is on the warmer side. It blends really well, much better than the foundation and looks quite natural on me. This is a keeper for sure!
  • #13: This is a cream blush in a rose gold color. It is more on the sparkly side so I am not sure how I feel about it as a blush, although it might do better as a highlighter or even a cream shadow!
  • Last but not least, we have a dual contour and highlight stick. I am in love with the contour side of this stick because it's the perfect shade to use as a nose contour (it's more of a taupe brown). The highlight side is just basically white so it does look a bit harsh if one does not spend some time blending it out.

Etude House November Pink Bird Box

Etude House's November Pink Bird Box featured items from their Snowy Dessert line and Honey Cera line, lets check it out!

  • The Honey Cera line features a toner, emulsion, eye serum and eye cream. The formulation contains honey, royal jelly and ceramide (anti-aging power house or what?). This line of skincare targets firming and nourishing the skin.
  • Snowy Dessert Play 101 Pencil #73 (beige) and #7 (pink)
    • All I can say is WOW. These liners are amazing. They are super creamy, glide one without tugging and the best part? The staying power is INSANE after they dry. As always when testing liners, I do what I like to call a "rub the crap out of the swatch" and see how well it holds up. I am happy to report that these liners did not budge AT ALL! (I definitely need a black and brown in my collection!)
  • Snowy Dessert Pudding Tint in Grapefruit
    • This tint has a fun jelly texture and the color payoff is great! I can definitely see this tint being a multi-purpose tint that can be used on the cheeks too!
  • Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher
    • This two-toned blusher features a cute gingerbread man right at the center. The blush itself is a ginger-orange shade. Personally I feel like it's too light on my skin to be a blusher, but it does have a slight shimmer to it so it may be a good highlighter. The blush applies very smoothly and isn't chalky at all.
